Peter Gibbs and David Beeby acquired a truck and fitted it out to transport 4 Tornados with masts and associated gear. Peter drove the truck to Perth for the Nationals with John Punch's trailer in tow carrying another two boats.

Tornado sailors Steve Maiden and Lorraine Greenwell tied the knot at South West Rocks recently (Nov 2006). See newspaper clip. Steve & Lorraine are well known to Tornado Nationals competitors and Steve was up in Darwin this year for a brief visit during which he crewed for John Punch on Nautical Supplies.
